Maritime List 189 will be the last of our regularly issued, booklet style catalogs. (Can’t believe I’ve actually done one-hundred-eighty-nine of them!) Due to increased costs of printing and mailing, and less-than-reliable delivery work by the USPS, we will be shifting to web-based catalogs with each item illustrated (sometimes with multiple images) in color. This will allow fuller descriptions, better illustrations, and absolutely equal delivery. We will offer hard copy short title lists of the contents of each catalog, but full descriptions, annotations and illustrations for each item will be in our internet catalogs.
Accordingly, if you have not sent us your updated email address, please do so now. We will add you to our email mailing list and send an email notifying you when new catalogs are posted on our website.
The Fine Print
Books are in Good to Very Good antiquarian condition unless stated otherwise. Ink signatures and bookplates not noted unless they significantly mar the appearance of the book. Postage is $5.00 first book, $2.00 each additional book inside U.S. Other orders will be billed at cost. All domestic shipments are insured. Email or telephone orders are suggested and may be left any time. For a live answer try calling 978 283 5299 between 12 and 5 daily, Mon.-Sat. When leaving a message please give the item numbers you desire and your phone number. No response to a message left on our machine means prior sale. Payment - We accept MC, Visa, PayPal, check or money order. WE DO NOT RETAIN CREDIT CARD NUMBERS, so if your are paying by MC or Visa you’ll have to provide that information. (Our answering machine at 978 283 5299 is secure.) We will ship and bill prior customers and institutions. New customers and overseas orders are requested to pay with order in U.S. dollars or upon receipt of a pro forma invoice.

DESCRIPTION- All books "8vo" or "12mo" (about the size of a standard novel) unless otherwise described. "4to" designates a larger book, up to about 12 inches tall, and "folio" a still larger book. "16mo" and "32mo" are smaller sizes, down to about 3 inches tall.
